Want to earn an extra participation point this year? Here’s how: just present at this year’s Brag Night!

Join us at the 2019 Southwest Park and Recreation Training Institute to share your projects, innovative programs and public service announcements with your parks and recreation colleagues.  Presentations are judged on content rather than on production value in order to give those with little or no funding for production the ability to compete and be judged fairly.

Presenters may submit their entry in the following categories:

Creative Projects:

Creative project presentations should be from 5 - 10 minutes long and include topics such as construction, improvements, park updates or installations, irrigation systems or any project (large or small) that you are proud of. Presentations in this category can be a video and/or slides with a narration. Videos are to be in-house productions.

Innovative Programs

Innovative program presentations should be 5 – 15 minutes long and include topics such as innovative maintenance programs or techniques, creative funding strategies, recreation programs or any program that you have put together and want to share with the Institute.  Presentations in this category can be a video and/or slides with narration.  Videos are to be in-house productions.

PSA/Promotional

PSA’s and promotional presentations should be 1 – 12 minutes long and include public service announcements (PSAs) and promotional presentations.  These presentations may consist of anything that you want to promote or announce such as: a new golf course, swimming pool, festivals, public functions, zoos or recycling programs.  PSA’s and promotional presentations can be video and/or slides with narration.  Professional productions will be place in this category.
